This city…

Edinburgh has something for everyone, and it’s yours for the taking. Nestled between the historic Old Town, West End, and lively New Town, 33 Castle Terrace is an excellent base for history buffs, foodies, shoppers, whisky enthusiasts, and adventurers. Stay a while longer to explore the surrounding areas too!

Old Town

Picture the scene - cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, and a deep history. From the iconic Edinburgh Castle to the mysterious ‘closes’, each corner whispers stories of centuries past. Venture underground to explore the Royal Mile’s hidden streets if you dare!

West End

Theatre and film enthusiasts are in for a treat. Edinburgh's West End is home to the Lyceum, Traverse Theatre, Cameo Picture House, and Odeon Cinema. Enjoy nightly shows and dine at The Palmerston, known for its fabulous food and focus on provenance.

New Town

The New Town is alive with pretty streets, lush gardens, boutique stores, great eateries and lively nightlife. After a day meandering, dine out in style at Johnnie Walker’s Rooftop Restaurant before dancing the night away at the Ghillie Dhu, a great hotspot for ceilidh fun!

Leith

The port of Leith enjoys a colourful maritime past, worthy of a visit. In recent years the neighbourhood shed its industrial image for a modern, fresh feel, earning a spot in Time Out’s list of the World’s Coolest Neighbourhoods 2023. Hop on the tram and explore.

Crammond and Portobello Beach

Discover Crammond’s quaint whitewashed houses and bobbing fishing boats, and stroll over to Crammond Island during low tide. At Portobello Beach don your flip-flops, dip in the brisk waters, or enjoy a stroll and ice cream on the promenade. Good wholesome fun!
